Corkscrew, the first modern inverting steel rollercoaster opened at Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park, California in 1975. After a successful run there, it moved north- to Silverwood Theme Park in Athol, Idaho, where it has run since 1990. On the first day of the season in 2020, I took a photo standing underneath the corkscrew element and looking up as a train rumbled by me. My friend Gary is in the back row!
